Newmarket, ON (July 29, 2010) - We've got animals and they need families! The Ontario SPCA will be hosting an adopt-a-thon!

What: Pet Adoption Blitz - Kittens, Cats, Rabbits and one Guinea Pig

When: Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 10:00am - 4:00pm

Where: Ontario SPCA Provincial Office "Ontario Room"

There will be kittens, cats, rabbits and one guinea pig available for adoption. All are healthy, vaccinated, and have been spayed / neutered (age permitting) and are now ready to join your family. Please remember to bring a carrier with you to transport your newest family member. The cat adoption fee is $75 and the rabbit adoption fee is $20.

Every single day animals arrive at the Ontario SPCA York Region Branch needing our help. We feed, exercise, bathe, socialize, play with and provide comfort to these abused, neglected and abandoned animals. We drive the wounded and sick to the veterinarian, change bandages, administer medications and monitor their recovery - with the goal of finding each animal a loving home.

Last year hundreds of animals were adopted from the York Region Branch Adoption Centre including cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes and breeds, as well as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and more!
